SO, hello to you… it’s been an action packed year for TMT so far!
* Congratulations to Adrian Bushby who has just received a Grammy award for his recording of the no.1 Foo Fighters album ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace’. He also produced the eagerly anticipated Red Light Company album and has been mixing Does it Offend You Yeah, Lucky Buster and The Chemists.
* Jim Abbiss’ success continues with the no.1 Adele album ‘19’ and he is now setting up his own label Metalbox. He has 3 international bands lined up and is currently putting the finishing touches on the production of the first signing…watch this space!
* After his success with The Enemy, up and coming producer/mixer Barny has set up his own SSL studio Bluebell Sound in which he has produced albums for Captain and Operator Please. He is currently mixing an album for Domino’s James Yorkston.
* We have just secured publishing deals for our writers Stella Attar (Chrysalis) after her success with the top 10 hit with her band Freaks and for Tim Gordine (to Reverb), currently writing with Hafdis Huld and Shaznay.
* Hannah Robinson has written the new Annie single ‘I Know Your Girlfriend Hates Me’ with Richard X. She has also written the next Electrovamp single ‘Drinks Taste Better When They’re Free’ with Liam Howe which will be featured in the eagerly awaited new Simon Pegg film, “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People”.
* Liam Howe has been writing and producing with various hotly tipped bands such as Raygun, Dead Pixels, Marina and The Diamonds and We Smoke Fags. He is currently in Nashville producing Heypenny and writing with Alan Vega (Suicide) for his own project, signed to Lavolta.
* Amongst Jonathan Shakhovskoy’s recent successes is One Night Only with Steve Lillywhite. He has also been working with Jack McManus, Leona Lewis, Amandah Ghost, James, Florence and The Machine and on various projects with Biff and Steve Robson.
* Neil McLellan is still based in NY working on various projects including forthcoming Senser tracks and Adam Freeland’s new album.
* Talented writer Paul Statham has co-written and produced the forthcoming album for mercury nominated Helicopter Girl and is currently writing with various new acts including The Saturdays and Pearl (aka Katie Sutherland).
* Engineer/mixer Richard Wilkinson has been working on albums for Adele and Van She with Jim Abbiss and with Dave McCracken on The Rifles. He also produced forthcoming EP for Ox Eagle Lion Man and forthcoming Lights Action tracks.
* Pascal Gabriel has co-written and produced the instant cult classic Miss Kittin album 'Batbox' and, with Hannah Robinson, forthcoming singles for hotly tipped Island act Ladyhawke as well as writing for various other projects.
* Andy Baldwin also worked with Neil on Senser and ended 2007 with the completion of the Dash & Will album who are signed to Universal Australia.
* Aussie producer Kalju Tonuma has been busy in the studio with The Living End, Benny Walker and favourite Melbourne Indie rockers Number Station. He is about to work with Jim Abbiss on Temper Trap.
