ARIA nominated Kalju started his career at 'Platinum' studios, where worked with Split Enz, Crowded House, Schnell Fenster, Straightjacket Fits, Hunters & Collectors, Boom Crash Opera, The Sharp and with producers Youth, Bob Clearmountain, Don Gehman, Joe Hardy, Mark Freegard, Gavin MacKillop, Nick Launay and Nick Mainsbridge.
Credits to date include Crowded House's 'Together Alone', Killing Joke's 'Millenium', Boom Crash Opera's 'Born/Born Again', Dead Star, The Mavis' 'Venus Returning' and 'Pink Pills' including the hit singles 'Naughty Boy' and 'Cry', Effigy's 'Century Collapsing', 28 Days' 'Kid Indestructable' and 'Upstyle Down' which debuted at No1, Bodyjar's 'How it Works', Superheist , Infusion, The D4, Evermore, Jimmy Barnes, Mahalia Barnes, Neil Finn, For Amusement Only, Josh Abrahams, K-Oscillate .
Towards end of 2006 Kal completed EP's with Silent Reprise, Horsell Common , Goodbye Motel and Trial Kennedy including the single 'The Great Escape.'
Kal has recently recorded tracks with Diana Anaid, Beki and The Bullets, an album with New Zealand's All Left Out and is currently in the studio with Ballarat band Perfect Reason. |
